If you’re here, it’s probably because you’ve dreamed of becoming a veterinarian for as long as you can remember. You’ve put in the hours, the heart, and the hustle—yet the path still feels unclear, overwhelming, and sometimes even impossible.

I get it. Because I’ve been exactly where you are.

I’m Dr. Katie Maher, a practicing veterinarian and the founder of Let’s Get You Into Vet School. And long before I had those letters after my name, I was a college student buried in science classes, battling imposter syndrome, and refreshing my email 100 times a day waiting for an acceptance letter that felt like it would determine my entire future.

Vet school isn’t just a goal for people like us. It’s an identity. It’s the dream we’ve held since we were kids treating stuffed animals like ICU patients. It’s the vision our families, friends—even our elementary school teachers—have wrapped around who we are. And when that dream feels out of reach? It doesn’t just sting. It shatters.

That’s why I created this program: to be the person I wish I had. The mentor who knows how to navigate every hoop, essay, and interview. The coach who won’t let you play small. The teammate who sees your potential even when you don’t.

Over the years, I’ve helped hundreds of students—many with less-than-perfect GPAs, confusing transcripts, and shaky confidence—craft strategic, authentic applications that get results. More than 90% of my students get into vet school on their first try. Not because they’re perfect. But because we stop guessing and start being strategic.

Before starting this program, I was on the board and had scored thousands and thousands of applications - and then I would go to interview those applicants. I know what makes or breaks the difference between a rejection letter or an acceptance letter.
